Principles
Name of the book collection: Conversation with the World ( Conversations au coin du monde, in French).
Title of the book: «  Voices of the Andes  ». First volume of series built according to the same four principles which characterize the Vision defined before:

Notion of distance: Improbable encounters with someone who is living far away from us, with different prospective, priorities and habits.
Notion of memory: Collection of elements of oral culture which are disappearing inexorably.
Notion of conversation:
People are telling themselves stories, that we can hear in their own voice.
Notion of trust and intimacy: The conversations take place in a intimate climate of trust, respect and openness.

Treatment:
Average number of pages: 150 pages. Editing in three main parts:
- Part 1 : The presentation (average 10% of the book volume) : Introduction, presentation of the approach on the collection, forewords according to the region studied, context elements.
- Part 2 : The photography  (65%) : Photography of the characters and their living environment.
- Part 3 : The stories and the sound experience  (25%) : Stories of the characters and indications for listening to the Voices (audio CD).

Editing and lay-out ideas :
- square format (30x30cm) keeping the traditional Compact Disc format, but taller. The general style is rather light, spaces are frequent and fonts are sober, in a rather small size (cf. following book visuals)

- separation of two big parts: Photography and Stories, using different page colors. White for part 1 and 2, grey or soft yellow for part 3. It is in the boundaries of an illustrated book of photography, adding a special section giving more depth (the stories) and life (the voices) to the characters photographed.

- in the Photographic section, priority goes to the image. Only discreet legends are placed under the photography to indicate the name of the person and the place where they live. A special logo will be added in the legend when a character is actually telling a story. This logo indicates the page number of this story within Part 3.

- Part 3 will be composed of the CD audio with the voices of characters.
